On Wednesday 6th September 2023, the CDT in Applied Photonics held an in-person Welcome Event at Heriot-Watt University for our 12 new students. Supervisors joined us for lunch and made the most of the opportunity to get to know their new students. Our new Cross-Cohort Student Representative, Euan Martin, gave an insightful presentation into what our new students can expect during the first year of the programme. Later in the afternoon, we hosted a Mental Health and Wellbeing Workshop.
