As our Centre marks its 25th anniversary, we are proud to celebrate the long‑standing industrial partnerships that have shaped our research community. Every one of our students is sponsored by industry and undertakes research that is deeply connected to real‑world challenges and innovation.

Today we highlight our partnership with Canon Medical Research Europe, a leading R&D centre developing advanced medical imaging software, AI‑driven diagnostic tools, and cutting‑edge visualisation technologies used in hospitals around the world. Since the beginning of our collaboration in 2010, Canon has sponsored 13 of our students, supporting research that pushes the boundaries of medical imaging.

Canon Medical Research Europe is an exceptional environment for our students—home to a fantastic team that includes many of our own graduates who have gone on to build successful careers within the company. We are delighted that so many of our students have joined Canon after completing their studies, with two now serving as Industrial Supervisors themselves.
