Our annual information event for CDT supervisors took place on Wednesday 29 April 2026 at the University of Strathclyde, bringing together current and prospective academic and industrial supervisors of CDT students. The event is particularly valuable for new supervisors and also provides an important forum for sharing updates and developments within the Centre with existing supervisors.
Held in an informal and relaxed setting, the session offered an overview of the CDT and how we work, alongside updates on recent changes across the Centre. Contributors included the Centre Director, Deputy Directors, Training Programme Manager, and the CDT Cross-Cohort Student Representative. We were also pleased to hear from Peter Schlosser, representing one of our industrial partners, Fraunhofer CAP, who shared an industrial perspective on CDT supervision.
The programme encouraged open discussion, with plenty of opportunities for questions, networking, and conversation throughout the session and over lunch. Following lunch, supervisors took part in an engaging and thought‑provoking session delivered by Equate Scotland.
